Dr. Kimberly Thompson is a doctorate-prepared Family Nurse Practitioner specializing in primary care and family wellness. An Arizona native, she was born and raised in the Northwest Valley. Her passion for healthcare began early—while attending Greenway High School, she became a Certified Nursing Assistant and started working in hospitals, providing hands-on patient care.
Determined to advance her career, she earned her Associate of Applied Science in Nursing from Estrella Mountain Community College in 2009, where her passion for helping people truly flourished. She then pursued her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Grand Canyon University in 2012.
After several years working in large hospital systems, Kimberly realized she wanted to make a greater impact by forming personal connections with her patients. With a strong desire to provide quality, patient-centered care, she returned to school once again, earning her Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Phoenix in 2017. She then transitioned into primary care in the Southwest Valley, fulfilling her mission of helping patients take control of their health.
Committed to lifelong learning and excellence in patient care, she went on to achieve the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Midwestern University in 2023—the highest level of education in her field. Dr. Kimberly Thompson feels privileged to serve her community, providing the time, attention, and compassionate care every patient deserves.
Outside of her work, Dr. Thompson is very close with her large, extended family and cherishes time spent with loved ones. She is also a devoted dog mom to Bailey. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, and exploring new experiences.
